What you need to know about the assessment process

Please read the instructions carefully for important information on what you need to prepare for the assessment.

On-Site Assessment

Instruction Guidelines

Please abide by the following Instructional Guidelines, Rules and Regulations, which if violated will result in disciplinary action in accordance to the IHRP Code of Professional Conduct
  • Possession of unauthorised materials;
  • Misconduct during the assessment;
  • Breach of confidentiality.

The disciplinary action(s) shall be determined by IHRP in accordance to the IHRP Code of Professional Conduct and may include:
  • Voiding of the candidate’s certification outcome.
  • Prohibition from applying for the certification programme in future years.

Possession of Unauthorised Materials

You are only allowed to bring the following items into the assessment room:
  • Identification document (e.g. NRIC, passport)


The following are examples of unauthorised materials that are strictly prohibited during the assessment (Please note that this is a non-exhaustive list):
  • Any form of electronic devices (e.g. mobile phone, laptop, smart watch);
  • Food and/or drinks;
  • Any form of notes (e.g. notebooks, cue cards);
  • Stationery (i.e. pen and paper) will be provided to candidates during the assessment and are to be returned to IHRP at the end of the assessment

Misconduct

You will refrain from engaging in inappropriate behaviour during the assessment, such as:
  • Communicating or attempting to communicate with other candidates;
  • Committing or attempting to commit any acts of dishonesty;
  • Leaving the assessment centre without the invigilator’s permission;
  • Failing to abide by the assessment duration even after the invigilator has announced the end of the assessment

Breach of Confidentiality

You are required to keep the assessment questions and their answers strictly confidential and refrain from any open discussions regarding the assessment questions in public and/or open spaces. You will also not post any assessment related content on any webpage or social media account without prior approval from IHRP.  

Assessment Day Schedule

You will be informed of the time and venue of the assessment via email 7 days before your assessment date has been confirmed.

Registration

You are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled briefing time for registration and bring along the following documents for registration:
  • Identification Documents (i.e. NRIC, passport)

We reserve the right to refuse entry into the assessment room if you do not have your identification.

Admission & Dismissal Policies

The doors of the assessment room will close ten (10) minutes before the start of the assessment for the briefing by the invigilators.

We will start and end the assessment punctually. The briefing will not be repeated, and no additional time will be given to candidates who arrive late to complete the assessment.

Candidates who arrive more than twenty (20) minutes after the start of the assessment will not be allowed to take the assessment.
You will be allowed to leave the assessment room only after the invigilator has confirmed the submission of your assessment. Candidates who have submitted the assessment and have left the room will not be allowed to return thereafter.

Candidates who wish to re-schedule should refer to Fee policies governing the IHRP Certification process.






















Post-Assessment Information

You will be notified of your competency assessment outcome via email together with a Candidate’s Competency Profile from assessment@ihrp.sg within two months from the date of assessment to support your professional development. The report will detail the following:
  • Overall outcome for all papers attempted
  • Banding or Quartile position
  • Outcome based IHRP Body of Competencies framework

The actual assessment scripts/scores will NOT be disclosed.

Remote Assessment

Failure to Comply with Assessment Room Requirement

You will ensure your assessment room/environment fulfils the following requirement:
  • Appropriate private space with a stable desk
  • Well-lit room with no distraction (music or television)
  • No writing on the desk of walls around you
  • No other person including children or animals is permitted in the test room while you are taking the assessment

Misconduct

You will refrain from engaging in inappropriate behaviour during the assessment, such as:
  • Communicating or attempting to communicate with other persons
  • Committing or attempting to commit any acts of dishonesty
  • Attempting to use any electronic device(s) to capture or transmit secure test content for profit or to benefit others
  • Leaving the assessment room during the assessment for any reasons
  • Using of headphones, ear buds, or any other type of listening equipment
  • Using of a separate display or monitor
  • Using any electronic device(s) including mobile phone
  • Accessing any other program including other internet browser, Excel, Words, PowerPoint, Skype, Whatsapp Web etc.
  • You must also ensure that your face is clearly visible through the assessment. Hair, sunglasses, and hats or any object that covers your face would lead to a low integrity scoring.

Breach of Confidentiality

You are required to keep the assessment questions and their answers strictly confidential and refrain from any open discussions regarding the assessment questions in public and/or open spaces. You will also not post any assessment related content on any webpage or social media account without prior approval from IHRP.  

Possible Sanctions for Test Fraud

Test fraud refers to (i) the act of cheating (obtaining a score through inappropriate means) during the assessment and/or (ii) communicating, publishing, reproducing, or transmitting any part of the assessment, in any form or by any means (e.g. verbal, electronic, written, etc.) for any purpose. For any testing situation in which the remote proctoring system detects any violation, IHRP will review the recordings to determine if there was any test fraud committed.

Depending on the gravity of the offence, possible sanctions include but are not limited to:
  • Attempted cheating
    IHRP will ban the candidate from taking IHRP certification assessment.
    Candidate will be permanently placed on a blacklist. This record will be shared with authorized organisations if testimonials / character references are requested.
    Depending on the route of certification, employers / schools may be informed of misconduct.
  • Leakage of assessment questions
    IHRP will ban the candidate from taking IHRP certification assessment.
    Candidate will be permanently placed on a blacklist. This record will be shared with authorized organisations if testimonials / character references are requested.
    IHRP will pursue the fraud with relevant authorities.

Instructions to Access Remote Assessment Portal

For candidates on Talview:

You will receive an email from no-reply@talview.com with the link to log-in to the assessment portal at least 3 working days before your assessment window. Please check your spam/ junk mail folder if you did not find it in your Inbox.

If you did not receive the link 3 working days before your assessment window, please email to hello@ihrp.sg.
For candidates invited to Prometric:

You will receive an email from donotreply@assessment.prometric.com containing the link to download the Secure Browser and the access code. Please check your spam/ junk mail folder if you did not find it in your Inbox.

If you did not receive the link 3 working days before your assessment window, please email to hello@ihrp.sg.

If you are a CP or SP candidate and need to complete the Experience Assessment, the link to the EA is also provided within this email.

Pre-Assessment System Checks

You should have ensured that your device fulfilled the following hardware and system requirements before applying for remote assessment:
  • Laptop or desktop computer: 1GB ram & above, 1GHz or faster processor. Please note that due to firewall configurations on corporate laptops, only personal laptops should be used.
  • Webcam: able to support minimum of 320 x 240 recording of colour video at 15fps
  • Speakers
  • Microphone (integrated or external)
  • Internet connection: Active internet connection with a minimum speed of 512 Kbps
  • Operating system: Windows OS 8 & above / OS X (10.6+) & above
  • Internet Browsers: Google Chrome (78+)/Mozilla Firefox (70+)
  • Device is able to run the assessment smoothly through this demo link (for Talview)
  • For candidates invited to the pilot on Prometric, please download the secure browser in advance to ensure you are able to install the browser successfully.

Registration and System Checks 

Upon logging in to the assessment portal, you will be guided through a series of system/device checks, candidate authentication and a 360-environment scan. This process may take up to 15 minutes.

Please ensure you have with you your NRIC or passport for registration before logging in to the assessment platform.

Admission & Dismissal Policies

The access to the remote assessment platform will be fixed as per stipulated and no extension will be given to candidates who fail to complete and submit the assessment by the scheduled assessment slot.

  • Go to https://ehelp.prometric.com/ihrp/s/
  • Use the chat messaging function to speak to a live agent. Provide your assessment details (e.g. your date of assessment, mode of assessment, certification level, etc.)
 

Consent for Audio and Video Recording

The entire assessment session will be recorded. This includes test environment scanning when requested, video recording of your webcam, real-time monitoring of your computer screens and all applications to prevent unauthorised viewing of content during the assessment. IHRP will have full access to these recordings. All recordings and data will be kept for one year and subsequently removed from Talview’s database.
